ALMAL Fire-Rated 1-Hour LDR Sandwich Panel
Insulated sandwich panels with aluminium cladding
U-value for walls and roof: 0.451 W/m²K
Composition
Al: Raw, anodised or pre-painted aluminium cladding, 10/10 mm thick
M: Rock wool core, 80 mm thick, with integrated timber framework
Al: Raw, anodised or pre-painted aluminium cladding, 10/10 thickness
Areas of application
- Nuclear (fire containment)
- Digital protection for data centres
- Containment zone
- Technical shelter or shelter with enhanced security
Fixing and strength
- Method of fixing the panels together:
single-component polyurethane adhesive or two-component adhesive
- Mechanical resistance via riveting:
20 kg pull-out strength at 2 points
Possible integrations:
- Steel, aluminium, timber, expanded PVC structures, etc.
- Pipe penetrations: steel, aluminium, PVC, IRO
- Localised reinforcements in sheet steel, aluminium or plywood strips
Advantages of integrating the framework
It consists of a solid timber or solid finger-jointed timber structure.
It is directly integrated into the panel to make it monolithic and structural.
This technique offers:
• excellent air and water tightness
• timber protected from the elements and insects
• very good fire resistance and stability
• excellent air and water tightness
• a significant reduction in thermal bridges to prevent condensation
• enhanced insulation with thin walls
• easy integration thanks to a smooth interior surface
• Quick fixing directly into the interior cladding
• Lifting under load is possible thanks to its strength, forming a monocoque structure
• Easier crane handling due to control of the dead weight of the assembled unit
Classifications
- EFECTIS fire performance certificate B-s1,d0
- EFECTIS test report: 1-hour fire resistance on both sides
- EFECTIS laboratory TECHNICAL APPROVAL for 1-hour fire resistance for assemblies and flooring to validate a technical shelter or shelter as a whole
Manufacturing and machining limits
- Dimensions of monolithic panels: 14650 x 3200 mm
- Larger panels can be produced by joining
2 High-Speed Machining (HSM) centres
- CNC machining table: 9460 x 2950 mm
- Machining on digital table: 14650 x 3200 mm
